Major Program Impacts or Outcomes

Reached a different demographic to include Family & Consumer Science teachers. This gave us a different base to promote ag literacy.

We expanded into collegiate dietetic program education on agriculture.

Program Leader Biosketch

Donette Spann is the Director of Ag in the Classroom programs with the Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation. She has a BS in Animal Science and is working towards an MBA in Marketing to be finished in late 2024. Before taking the Ag in the Classroom position in August '23, she was the Administrator and Promotions Director for the Arkansas Beef Council, which was managed by Arkansas Farm Bureau. In this position for 21 years, she coordinated and implemented programs of beef promotion, education, and consumer and industry information. She also worked with beef producers coordinating beef checkoff funding and grants.
