Conducted first STEM only workshop for 7-12 grade teachers in conjunction with a university STEM Development Center. Updated six Ag Readers and correlated to Common Core & New Science Standards.

4500 4-12 science students received direct ag science and research instruction because of summer workshop program.
100% of teachers that attended science summer workshop conducted research and utilized ag science materials in their classroom.
Increased direct student teaching by staff by 50%.
Andy Guffey is the Coordinator of Education and Ag-in-the-Classroom for the Arkansas Farm Bureau, and he has served as the state contact in Arkansas for the last 11 years. In addition to Ag-in-the-Classroom, Andy also works with FFA and 4-H groups across the state in numerous projects. Andy is a board member for Economics Arkansas and the Arkansas Foundation for Agriculture. He also serves as an industry advisor for programs and curriclum for the Arkansas FFA. Before taking over education and Ag-in-the-Classroom, he previously directed the safety education programs for the Arkansas Farm Bureau and worked for Tyson Foods. He holds a B.S. in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University.
