National Agricultural Literacy Curriculum Matrix

Submit a Lesson Plan

We are always looking for high quality unique lesson plans that meet the National Agricultural Literacy Outcomes and the national education standards for science, social studies, or health (nutrition). Before you submit your lesson, search the Matrix to determine if a similar lesson already exists. If the lesson topic does exist but your lesson plan offers a unique approach or an activity, consider adding your "activity" as a Companion Resource. We will review your strategy and activity and, if it applies to multiple lessons, it will be added as a Companion Resource. If your Companion Resource does fit with just one lesson we currently have in the Matrix, we will consider adding the activity to the lesson. If you would like to learn more about learning strategies, please visit our Strategy Tools Wiki. Your submission will be reviewed using the Matrix lesson plan rubric. You will be notified within two weeks about the status of your submission. As a reminder, a lesson plan needs to "stand-alone." Units (that included multiple lesson plans) of instruction need to be separated or combined and submitted as individual lesson plans. Download templates of the Matrix lesson plan format (PDF or MS Word file) and consider viewing the Matrix Submission Tutorial. If you have a question about copyright, please consult the Copyright Decision Tool (a Canadian product, but applicable in the US).
