CHS Scholarship to attend National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference
Due date is Friday, March 3rd.
The CHS Foundation for the fifth year is sponsoring teachers from across the nation to attend the National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference. They are graciously providing $20,000 in scholarship funds to fund dozens of deserving teachers. Engaging workshops, tours, keynote speakers and networking events will provide exceptional learning opportunities for these teachers to increase their comfort level in agricultural topics and also integrate agricultural content into instruction to meet academic standards in Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Math and Health/Nutrition. If you would like to participate in an engaging professional development experience and connect with educators from across the country, you should consider applying for this scholarship.
The National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference will be held June 20-23, 2017 in Kansas City, MO. This scholarship will cover the cost of the conference registration, totaling $435. Scholarship winners will be responsible for their remaining travel costs (hotel, airfare, etc.), and winners should try to secure additional funding before applying for the scholarship.
Teachers must be employed by a school system or university, currently teaching in grades PreK-16 in the United States and expect to be employed for the 2017-18 school year. University professors must be teaching pre-service teachers.
