Major Program Accomplishments or Outputs

We are working to develop a comprehensive K-12 curriculum for core academic subjects with a maple production theme. Tapping Into Maple Tradition" will include a video focusing on the academic components of maple production, an educational poster for classroom display and a wide range of lessons. The video and poster are essentially complete and the first installment of lessons will be available in February 2016. We will continue to add to the lessons for the next several years.

Biosketch

I began as the NHAITC statewide coordinator in December, 2013.

Education: BS Environmental Recreation from Springfield College in Springfield, MA, minor in Business Studies

Currently:
NH FFA Foundation, President
NH Career & Technical Administrators, Administrative Assistant

Prior Experience:

  • Elementary Classroom experience as a volunteer working on a variety of projects
  • High School Classroom experience working with students preparing for state, regional and national competitions in areas such as food science, equine evaluation, agricultural marketing plan, public speaking, environmental science, forestry, etc.
  • Extensive FFA experience on the chapter and state level. Assist students with competition preparation, agricultural projects and special activities. Help the State Executive Director prepare for the State Convention, run state qualifying competitions, run the woodsman competition at a county fair, webmaster, and accounting.

Personally owned horses, sheep, llamas, waterfowl and a variety of other animals.
